As most of you know in business or ministry changes come and they are difficult. Having said that... I am using,”difficult” in the aspect of people you love and work with move on and you hate that part. You grow to love them as family and can’t imagine working without them.
New Desire Christian Ministries has been serving full time for almost 30 years and we DO NOT PLAN ON STOPPING NOW!!!!!!!!!!
However, we are sad to say that in the changes God is doing in New Desire... Colton Veith, our baritone singer and piano player, will be looking for a full time position with another ministry. We have grown to love Colton as our very own and this is the difficult part. I would like to encourage any group out there who may be looking for a great, well rounded, responsible young man of God to contact Colton via his PM or contact our office at 770 684 8987. Colton has chosen to stay in Georgia and we want the very best for him. He is still living with us and we are so thankful for the relationship that we have with him. Colton is very grounded in the Word of God and His relationship with The Lord. If anyone of you can help him find a position as a singer or a Minister of Music, please recommend Colton Veith. You will not be sorry!
Now for the rest of the story.......New Desire is and will continue to be a full time evangelical ministry. However, the singing phase of New Desire will consist of our children singing with us on select dates and special request events. I will always sing. Therefore, the revivals and women’s events, you will get me as a soloist or possibly if scheduling permits, our children or another female singing as a duet with me. These are changes that God has led us to make and we pray that everyone will pray and be supportive and continue to book New Desire. Dan is being scheduled to preach more revivals and he and I are being scheduled through Churches to teach special Wednesday night services or week long services to their congregations on family and marriage. The women’s events, small group studies, revivals, and marriage and family events are the passion of this ministry and the heart of every person who serves in this ministry. The singing has been the blessing and the bonus, but also the hardest to maintain. Thus, the reason for a priority change within the ministry. We will still sing, but it will be different. Our children, Labron and Brooke, will sing with us at our annual events such as: the annual Women’s Conference, the Annual Marriage Retreat, special weekend Church events, etc....
It is important that all of you know another passion is our foreign missions in Honduras. Our plan is to spend more time over there and help our missionaries rest and our congregation grow. Kim Pate is the greatest Director of Missions any ministry or Church could ask for. We are so blessed to have Kim on staff and in our hearts as family. She is truly called and God uses her in a mighty way. It is amazing to set back and watch her passion and her excitement intertwine causing great effectiveness. I can’t wait to be in Honduras come November 13th to spend time with Kim, Jessica and Misael, as well as with the entire congregation and community. If anyone would like to help with Christmas expenses for Honduras please make sure your offering gets to me before November 10th. We need all the financial help we can get for Honduras Christmas. We have grown in number. That is answered prayer for us but it takes more money to meet everyone’s needs. You can send your Christmas contributions to NDCM 231 Gordon Rd. Cedartown, GA 30125.
