- Biography:
Labron has been a part of New Desire ministry from his earliest years where he personally experienced the divine plan of God, and His shaping the family through heartbreak and provision. As a young child, God molded Labron’s understanding of spiritual things, giving him faith beyond years. (Details are in Brenda’s Autobiography, “Seized for His Glory”.)
Yes, he quickly learned of a life of faith, demonstrated by his parents. Not only did he witness God’s faithfulness, but he became a vital part of a ministering team along side Dan and Brenda. Labron’s personal ministry of Evangelism has given the ministry a depth and breadth focused on the trials that youth of today face. He delivers a message, not only of hope and salvation but a message of vision of God’s handiwork in our lives.
Labron has recorded countless projects with New Desire-but his personal forte seems to be the exciting and intense ballads, i.e. “It Doesn’t Matter,” “Double Portion,” “He’ll Hide Me,” and his all time great “Small Lonely Hill”.
His sense of humor is often latent until, when least expected, he will interject a word of wisdom from Forest-Forest Gump.
Labron is road manager for New Desire, where the unpredictable always seems to happen. His calm demeanor and ability to think on his feet often prevent catastrophe. Labron records Brenda’s radio programs and does the final editing for broadcast. He often works behind the scenes where he and Dan keep the nuts and bolts running smoothly.
Yes, he is consumed with the ministry, but Labron enjoys hunting, golf, and the Robinson family past-time of fishing, not to mention his health and fitness routines.
Labron and Brooke focus their many activities around their son Caleb, who travels with the ministry and is a singer in his own right.
