Scripture Reading: Luke 8:17

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”

In the days of Mordecai a plot was organized by two of the king’s chamberlains to do harm to the one who gave them a job. They both were angry that the king had not done what they thought was right for them. I do not know the problem inside the mind of these fellows or their expectations, but it is evident they had insecurities. In their minds, the king was to blame and he was the “bad guy.”

This very same scenario goes on everyday in leadership. The insecurities and the mind battles of people cause irreparable damage to close and loving relationships. Regardless of how much someone looks out for the well being of others, that person or persons will be the victim and blame.

Mordecai was placed at the king’s gate as a hedge of truth. As he heard these two men plotting and planning, he went straight to Esther and told her. Esther went immediately and revealed the plan to the authorities. Both men were hanged on a tree. Because of Mordecai, truth prevailed and the king was saved.

I know that hanging seems to be such a great punishment. However, when God looks out for His people, He takes it very seriously. Psalm 105:15 says, “… touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm.” Our Scripture text tells us, “For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid that shall not be known and come abroad.”

Christians, church members, ministry leaders, and laymen, I pray that we all will look out for one another’s best interest. Let’s look out for the enemy and his tactics. Keep your tongue and thoughts to prayer.

From my heart to yours, be a person who speaks truth, not words of anger or retaliation. Don’t strive to hurt others because things do not go as you planned or expected. Bigthan (Gift of God) and Teresh (Dry) compiled their thoughts and wanted the king to die. However, truth prevailed and they both died. God has the power and will use it to manifest all corruption and every evil thought.

I Just Love Jesus,

Brenda, Thank you for always speaking truth into my life. I don't need anything watered down and artficial. Only the real deal (word of God) will bring believers into maturiity and grace. God is a present help in a time of need. These circumstances described in the scripture text have been unfolding in our Church lately.Your article is very relevant. If it wasn't for anybody else God layed it on your heart for me. Love you all... Brandy Passmore

Brenda, I would just like to say Thank You to all of New Desire for spreading Gods words through music, missions, and preaching/teaching. I just traveled to California for a conference where we took 9 youth to a leadership initiative. While there I realized that I didn't see a single church or a church sign. I missed seeing that. Not knowing the area the only way I got any messages were from TV or during my study/praying time. If I wanted to go to a church I would have to ask if any were close. I am thankful that I live in an area where there are visible signs that christians are there and that groups like you go places to spread the word of God. Again Thank You!
