From The Heart
In My Heart

Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:21
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”
We will have been on the road spreading the Gospel for nine days before we get to be home. As I am writing this article, we are in Kentucky where Dan and Labron are running revival. Revival ends Friday night, then we are off to Alabama for a women’s conference, singing, Dan preaching and a concert on Sunday night. Thank you Lord for commanding us to serve.
As you can see, I have titled this article, “In My Heart.” I am writing in a home of a family who attends the church where revival is going on. This family has prepared a meal for us. Looking around their home it is easy to tell what is in their heart. I see Bibles and note pads, pictures of Scripture and the word 'blessed' painted on one of their picture windows. I feel the presence of God as I listen to various conversations that are about God in some way.
In my heart, there is rejoicing. This is what my heart longs to hear and witness. In my heart, I crave to see this in every individual person, every church, home and community. The Bible says, "where your treasure is there will your heart be also." In this home their heart is in Jesus and their minds are on serving Him.
As we travel all around the world we do not see this type of home environment. My heart is to plant the seeds that God can water and grow for His honor and glory. In my heart is Jesus my treasure. My longing lies in helping someone who is hurting, to reach out to a child or young adult who is struggling with life and its pressures. In my heart is the desire to save a marriage which would then save a family from the devastation of divorce.
From my heart to yours, I pray that you will see what is in your heart. If it doesn’t include Christ as the center, then He needs to become your treasure and your desire above everything and others. Would your home breathe the presence of the Lord?
