From The Heart
Let Me Tell You About My Miracle
by Dr. Brenda Robinson
Scripture Reading: Mark 10:13-16
And they were bringing to him children, that he might touch them, and the disciples were rebuking those bringing them, and Jesus having seen, was much displeased, and he said to them, `Suffer the children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God; verily I say to you, whoever may not receive the reign of God, as a child -- he may not enter into it;' and having taken them in his arms, having put [his] hands upon them, he was blessing them.
I would like to share with you an experience I had a few years ago at Rineyville First Baptist Church in Rineyville, KY. We had just finished the National Quartet Convention and a Women's Conference on Saturday in another part of Kentucky. The women's conference was tremendous. Lives were changed and souls were saved. We left that church with a great feeling of effectiveness for the work of the Kingdom of God.
The next morning we were scheduled to sing for both the 8:30 AM and 11:00 AM morning worship services at Rineyville First Baptist Church. Both services were anointed and blessed by the Lord. The people attending both services were hungry and thirsting for the presence of the Lord. God was faithful to make His presence known in the hearts of those people in attendance that morning.
As we chatted with everyone after the 11 o’clock service at the product table, a young lady (around 6 or 7 years old) appeared to the left of me. Without telling me her name, she asked with great joy and enthusiasm, "Do you want to hear about my miracle?" Before I could answer, she proceeded to tell me about how the Lord had recently performed a miracle in her life. The tone of her voice and her belief in God was enough to make anyone cease all activity and intently listen as she recalled her miracle.
Her faith in God was so vibrant and contagious. I stopped what I was doing and gave this young girl my undivided attention. I couldn't help myself. I was totally captured by her joy, her faith, and her enthusiasm to tell me (a total stranger) about what God had performed in her life.
Pulling her hair up and pointing at her ear and head, she showed me where she had been accidentally hit with an aluminum bat. She said, “I was hit so hard that it knocked me out and split my ear and head open.” She continued to tell me that her friend was swinging the bat when she hit her. The young girl continued, “I saw Jesus that day. He touched my head and my ear, helped me wake up, and gave me my hearing back in that ear. All I had was seventeen stitches and a bad headache for a few days.”
This young lady had an encounter with Almighty God. The doctors told them that there was a possibility that she would lose hearing in her ear and vision in her eye from the impact of the hit. They didn’t know that the Great Physician was on the scene performing a miracle before anyone else could get to her. She recognized Him and her child-like faith made her whole.
Right there in the foyer of that church in the midst of crowds of people this little girl was sharing the miracle God had performed in her life. She was not bothered by the crowd and she wasn’t shy, ashamed, hesitant, or afraid to approach me. She was so elated at seeing Jesus that she wanted even a stranger to know.
She was so touched by what God had done for her that she wanted everyone hear her story and believe in Him as much as she did. Her enthusiasm reminded me of the passage of Scripture where the Disciples rebuked people for bringing children to Jesus. Displeased with their actions, Jesus rebuked them in Mark 10:14-16 when He said, “…`Suffer the children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God; verily I say to you, whoever may not receive the reign of God, as a child -- he may not enter into it;' and having taken them in his arms, having put his hands upon them, he was blessing them.”
Oh, what a refreshing course of my own miracles did Jesus put me through that day! The faith of a little child reminded me of the importance of sharing my miracles with others. Jesus has performed great things in the lives of so many people, but pride or some other issue prevents them from sharing the miracles with others who need to hear.
From my heart to yours, I pray that you will come as this little girl with joy and excitement and say, “Let me tell you about my miracle.” We all have one to share. Salvation itself is a miracle!

yes my salvation is a miracle and let me share my other miracle her name is Kayla and she is so special. She had open heart surgery when she was 18 months old and was in the hospital for 6 weeks. We couldnt talk to her or touch her for 3 weeks, all we could we do is look at her..and for a week one of us had to stay awake at all times to watch a machine to make sure the numbers didnt get up to high or drop to low (it was 1991) . This was the scarest time of my life and the sad thing was we wasnt saved or even in church.. I always say my mothers and everybody else prayer God heard cause I wasnt saved and thats sad..but anyhow she had to learn to do everything all over and they said she would have problems all her life and we would have to help her with everything she does cause lack of oxygen damaged her brain.. I blamed God for all this all these yrs and didnt even reallize it even after we was saved 6 yrs ago.. but a few weeks ago God showed me what a blessing she really is and that she is a miracle..She is special, I always know where she is at and I dont have to worry what she is doing and that itself is a blessing.. She loves life and smiles all the time and NEVER says anything bad about anybody how many of us can say that????? I cant!!! She meets me at the door every day and ask about my day and how my people is that I take care of., she worries about anybody that is sick if she knows about it.. This past Febuary on her 20th birthday she received Christ as her personal Savior..Yes she has special needs and we have issues occaisionally that comes up but she is one special daughter and I would not change her for the world....Thank you Jesus for my miracle that you gave me... love you all!!!
