From The Heart
Just Sharing My Heart
by Dr. Brenda Robinson
Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:5
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
It has been a few weeks since I’ve been able to post an article. I apologize for the delay, but my college classes have had me very busy. I have many deadlines to meet and I feel that my Bible education is vitally important for the future of ministry.
I hunger to be wise in the Word and to share what I’ve learned with all of you. God’s Word is our lifeline and without understanding what it means, we can be easily led astray. I’ve titled this article, “Just Sharing My Heart” because that’s what I want to do. I have such a passion to share with you the love of Jesus. I don’t know or want any other life. I completely understand what Paul meant when he said, “I am what I am by the grace of God.” I realize it is God’s grace that has driven me to a life of love and service. People ask me frequently why I do what I do. Why I leave my home and family for days and weeks at a time, why I take on the problems of families, women and children....I only have one answer. I am commanded by God to fulfill my service. These things are my reasonable service. They are my heart. Winning someone to the life of righteousness and freedom in the Lord is what keeps me living this life. Helping a family to know God and to live for Him is worth every sacrifice that’s required of me. Psalm 27:4 says, “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to inquire in his temple.”
I don’t view my life as a sacrifice. I see it as God’s and He can do with me whatever He chooses. I long to be obedient to His will so that my light will shine and my salt will not lose it’s savor. I don’t expect others or the world to understand my life or jump on board. I do know that what seems foolish to others, God uses those things to confound the wise. My life seems foolish to some and my decisions are NEVER practical to most, but my heart is to do the will of God and for that I am willing to be accused, found uncommon and rejected. As our Scripture text says in Proverbs 3:5, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
From my heart to yours, I challenge you to search your own heart, find your passion and pursue it with God as your guide. Your heart will be strengthened and your hope will be found in Him. Psalm 31: 23-24 says, “O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.”

I admire you for what you do you help so many people I can tell you are annointed and what you are doing is Gods will
1 Samuel 15:22: "And Samuel said, Hath the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams." Obedience IS sacrifice of one's own will to the will of the Father.
