Trust the Lord

Scripture Reading: Proverbs 3:1-10
“My son, forget not my law; but let thine heart keep my commandments: For length of days, and long life, and peace, shall they add to thee. Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart:..."
It’s amazing to me how so many times we find ourselves questioning God and not trusting Him. I saw a church sign the other day that said, “We believe the newspaper, but we question God.” That is so TRUE! We believe what we read in the newspapers and hear on TV, but we don’t completely trust in the Almighty God who has the power to do anything He sees fit to do. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” We should never act on our thoughts, but seek Him for direction and trust His voice when He speaks. Fleshly actions will get us in trouble, but knowing God’s will and walking in it and completely trusting in Him will lead to Him being pleased with our actions. He even says in this passage that if we’ll trust Him, fear Him, and honor Him that He will fill our barns with plenty. That’s an awesome promise, but He knows the true intent of our heart!
The Lord gave me these verses during a women’s conference. Brenda spoke on “Woven Hearts.” Amazingly we both got this verse and we know that we have to trust in Him to “direct our paths” in this ministry. I believe He is preparing our hearts and minds for a ministry miracle. GO, GOD, GO!! I can’t wait to see what He has in store for us all!
