Scripture Reading: Ephesians 6:18

"Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints."

Labron, Caleb and I went on vacation several months ago with my family. It's always a great time for us. I look forward to it from year to year. We don't get to spend much time with my family due to our busy schedule with the ministry. All of my siblings live close except for one brother and his family. He's six hours from us and I only see him and his family once or twice a year, so I truly enjoy our vacation and I get to spoil his kids with love.

I said all of that, so now I can get to my point. On the way home, I was driving and saw this on a church sign (as I was trying to use my phone to call Labron which was riding with my other brother) and I didn't have service. It makes me disturbed to pay for phone service and it not work ALL the time. I had my sister write it down for me. "Prayer is our wireless connection to God with no roaming fees." This connection has already been paid for, it is always in service and it never goes into roaming. I love the fact that no matter where I'm at I can pray and know that Jesus is making intercession for me. Even when I'm "breaking-up" (or crying), he knows my utterances unto Him. He understands what I'm praying and He passes my prayers along to my Heavenly Father. He's not on the other end of the line saying, "You're breaking up. What did you say? I can't understand you. I'm hanging up. Call me back when you have better service." Our call (prayer) to Him will always be heard and answered according to His will.

I thank Him that it doesn't cost me an arm and a leg to get connected to Him. I can reach Him whether I'm on a  mountain or in a valley; in a desert or in the middle of an ocean; riding down the road or laying in my bed. Wherever I'm at or whatever I'm doing at the time, He's there too. He made me a promise just as He's made one to you to never leave nor forsake you.

How long has it been since you placed a call to Him just to thank Him or to praise Him? Most of our calls are to ASK Him for something, but He deserves our praise and our thanks. Give Him a call today…right now. Just think of all the things you have to thank Him and praise Him for! I promise you will have a whole list of things to talk to Him about. Concentrate on thanking Him today. We use most all days to ask Him for things, but today just give Him PRAISE!

Ruth Ann, I'm glad that you like it, but I'm afraid I don't write songs. I tried helping Brenda with a tag for a song one time and she told me God would send her one.....it was that bad I guess. That was her nice way of saying she didn't think it was all that good. ;-) I'll let her write on that one!!! She is the best song writer.

I know she is very good at song writing, speech writing, etc., she is so anointed! We know God will send her whatever she needs, to accomplish her mission. This morning I thanked God for you Brooke, I know you have a lot to deal with and still have a beautiful smile all the time and take such good care of Brenda, I know Dan and Labron do also, but having such a committed godly woman by her side is wonderful!

Awesome message, and so very true. Thank you for sharing. You are correct, we need to be more THANKFUL more often instead of "whining" like little kids do so very much of the time. Again, great word!

Brooke, Thank you for all that you do. I loved this devotion. It really hit me hard because so many times we are asking instead of praising.. I really enjoy reading the devotions and keeping up with the ministry. I will see you at the conference in February. What better way to spend my birthday but praising my maker. God Bless you all! Thank you all for the uplifting comments. It means a lot. I thank God for giving me things to write about. Without Him in the midst everything I could ever write would not bring Him glory, but praise be to my Maker that He is in control of ALL things! I appreciate you all. I'm praying for God to give me more things to write about so stay tuned :-)
