Scripture Reading: Matthew 23:37

“. . . how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings. . .”

O what a joyous day, my heart just overflows.

I stand in the midst of my children,

A garden Dan and I have grown.

Countless hours of prayers and tears have gone into these soils.

We planted the Word of God deep into their souls.

God watered every effort and produced a harvest of holy men.

They are fathers now planting their own gardens about Him.

Labron is so gentle, and anointed of God;

Like his mother, a psalter of music, a minister of song.

He honors his wife and teaches his son to live for Christ.

A husband and father, so loving and kind.

Kevin is like his mother full of joy and love for all.

He never meets a stranger and he never fails to call.

He loves his wife sincerely and cherishes his baby girl.

Deep within his heart they and God are his world.

This garden we call our children grows more beautiful each day.

They are producing children with an urgency of grace.

Our children are our field of blessing straight from God above.

I’m honored that He chose me to mother them with love.

Regardless of their age, I’ll stay a mother hen.

As a hen gathers her children, I vow to protect them.

I’ll bathe them with my love and shower them with prayer.

They’ll never have to wonder if their parents really cared.
