Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:5

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,”

Perhaps you are reading this today and you know without a shadow of a doubt that you are saved. You know you are God’s chosen to bear and produce fruit. Yet life, circumstances, sin and weights have caused your joy to fade and your fruit to wither. Right now is the most opportune time to refuel that joy and revive that fruit.

Remember, as God’s chosen, we have the power and can expect God to immediately relieve us of such things. When Jesus chose us, we were given an eternal birth certificate. We have been adopted into the family of God. It is time to start living like a member of the family.

You see, we as Christians and members of the family have been producing contaminated fruit. We have allowed worms to come in and poison our produce. We have harbored worms of jealousy, judgment against others, false accusations, rebellious attitudes, laziness in our service, unforgiveness and even blaming God when things have not worked out our way. In spite of all of this, God still loves us. If we can accept and live in His love, then He can restore the joy of our salvation. Jesus is calling each of us today to one of several things. Which of these ten words do you feel tugging at your heart?

Salvation

Service

Forgiveness

Humility

Repentance

Faith

Righteousness

Love

Confession

Obedience
