Scripture Reading: Phil 4:19

“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Have you ever wondered how you were going to meet your house payment, where the money would come from to pay your utilities or car payment or even buy groceries to feed your family? I have been there. I finally realized that it was all a test of my faith.

There have been several times that our house payment was due and nobody knew that we did not have the means to make that payment but me, Labron and God. We would pray and ask God to supply the money to meet the payment because shelter is a need. I would check the mail, and there would be a check from another believer for the amount of our house payment. God supplied that need right on time!

We all know the economy has seen better days. There are so many people suffering from the loss of their homes, vehicles, jobs and so forth. Could this be a test of faith? Should we pray for grocery money, bill money, and gas money? Yes. These are needs.

God wants to see our faith and our priorities. He wants to know where our priorities are. Make a list of priorities.  Do not put God on top if He is not truly your #1 priority. He knows the truth. Change your lifestyle around until He is #1. Let Him be the first priority in your life, and watch Him be your Great Provider.

We cannot take our worldly possessions to Heaven. Make God smile on you by placing your faith and attention on Him, not on the world or how much money you can make in this life. Focus on eternity.

Sometimes we should reevaluate what we consider needs. Many times, we will find that what we consider a need is truly only a want in our life. God is faithful to supply our needs according to His riches in glory.
