Scripture Reading: Romans 6:14

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.”

While traveling around the world, we come into contact with so many people that try to justify their sin.  They say, “Well my daddy has been caught in adultery and pornography so he just passed that on to me” or “my parents raised me in an alcoholic home and it’s in my blood.”

You do not have to accept the family curse of sin. Our Scripture text says “sin shall not have dominion over you.” If you have been saved by the grace of God, He loves you and cares about your sin.  Satan makes sure that the temptation to sin comes by you daily. He wants us to believe that we do not have the power to overcome the family curse. The Bible says in I Corinthians 10:13, “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man:  but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able, but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” The word temptation in this Scripture is not just referring to sin. In the Greek, it represents adversity, discipline, trials and sin.

God is always faithful to provide an escape for all of our temptations. We must choose whether to accept His way of escape or to continue in a life of sin.

We will never be completely without sin, but intentional sin will cause a gap between us and God.  Do not allow satan to control your thoughts and actions. A daily prayer and study life will keep you strong so that you will have the strength to resist the temptation.

ahh temptation, that ole devil knows how to tempt us. If he were to try to tempt me with Broccoli or cauliflower it would be just fine, but it's chocolate cake, and man thats hard to turn down. That ole devil knows my weakness and he waves it under my nose every time. But my God is faithful, He always provides a way of escape from every temptation and sin that is laid out before me. I miss you guy's, it seems like whenever your close by, I'm somewhere else, but we'll cross paths soon.

Brooke, this was good...The devil knows just where to hit at and he seems to know the time when to do it.. God has been so good to yank me by the hair of the head to get my attention when need be and I am so glad He does..The devil knows what to do or when to put somebody there to distract me from what I need to be doing but the Lord takes care of that to.....There are so many temptations out there not only for teens but for adults also and I have been quilty of wanting to blend in a time or two but God sure lets me know that I need to go the other way....Thank you for all that yall do..we love you!!!!
