Scripture Reading: Ecclesiastes 3:14

“I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.”

One morning a man rolled over in his bed and said to his wife, “I think what we are going through is going to be the end of me.”  She called him by name and said, “Honey, if God could ever bring you to the end of yourself that would be the greatest thing that ever happened in our family.” His church was about to split; his home did split.  After this, things were a total mess.

Do you know what keeps most of us from the anointing power of the Spirit, and from blessings of God in our lives?  It is self, pride, and our own ideas.  Has it ever dawned on you that God may be working behind the scenes in your life?  God may be orchestrating a circumstance beyond and out of your control, and you cannot do anything about it. You look up and say, “God I cannot, but you can.” God steps out on the scene and does the impossible, and you can know without a doubt that you did not do it. God did it. Our Scripture text says, “I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.”

Are you finding your life to be in total shambles? Are you questioning what is going on and why? Do you need to come to the end of yourself? Do you realize that would be the greatest thing that could ever happen to you?

The first time wesaw your famiy was at Buckners in Barnesville. And I heard you testify about the Grand Mal seizures. And how Dan used to hold a cold rag on your head. That is love to me. That little saying about pride and self really hit me because that is what is going on with me now. When I get hurt and someone does me wrong I have a hard time forgiving someone. I will have to remember this article and pray harder to forgive. When you are a christian its hard because we arent suppose to hold grudges. When will you be in my area Stockbridge Ga. Thanks for emailing me these little speaches. I would like to go to one of your siminars I have an aunt that lives in Dallas. As a matter of fact Cheryl Tibbitts is my cousin in Dallas.
