Scripture Reading: Psalm 95:6-7

“O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the LORD our maker. For he is our God; and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. To day if ye will hear his voice,”

Our spiritual indicator for today is we desire to spend more time in genuine praise and worship. I love the Scripture text found in Psalm 95:6-7. The Psalmist had come so full circle in proper genuine praise and worship that he was crying, “O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker.”

He was not only in sync with the definition of praise and worship, but he was also inviting us to join him. There are very few opportunities for us to experience the presence of God so real that we become like the psalmist and enter into genuine praise and worship.

We must take opportunities to praise and worship Him, being careful not to allow one opportunity slip past us. Verse 7 of our Scripture text says, “For he is our God, and we are the people of His pasture.” When we realize that we are His people and truly believe that He is our God, we will find ourselves spending more time in praise and worship and less time dwelling in our problems. We will realize a desire within us to worship Him occasionally. As we give in to the desire to  worship Him, it will birth a daily cycle of praise and worship. Before long we will find ourselves praising and worshipping Him without ceasing.

The bottom line to genuine praise and worship is that the more we worship Him the more we will see Him like never before. We will be like the Psalmist. We will begin to invite people to join us in worshipping Him.
