Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:25-26

“Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

We grumble and complain because we do not have this or that. We often say “Well, someone else has this and I do not.”  Jesus said that He will feed the birds of the air even though they sow not, neither do they reap. Are we not much better than they?  He also tells us to “…Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin(Matthew 6:28). If God will clothe the grass which grows one day and not the next, will He not clothe you?  So, take no thought saying “I do not have this or that.” The Father knows that we have need of all these things. Matthew 6:33 tells us to “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Let us quit worrying about what is going on today or what is going to happen tomorrow. Jesus tells us in Luke 12:32 to “Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.”

God enjoys giving us things from His Kingdom.
