Scripture Reading: Psalms 46:10-11

Here's another article from a church sign. I was on my way to work at the dentist office several weeks ago, and I passed this church that always has great quotes on their sign. This one said, "Don't worry/think about tomorrow. You did that yesterday." So many of us are so worried and consumed about what will happen tomorrow that we forget to enjoy "today." We are so focused on "How will we get the money to pay our bills?" Or, "Where will our next meal come from?" You may even be saying, "When will the clothes get washed, house cleaned, dishes washed, etc.?" We tend to forget that God promised to never leave us nor forsake us and that He would meet our NEEDS! He didn't promise us an abundance of worldly possessions.

We all know that worldly possessions can cause distractions. Why do we need so much STUFF anyway? We can't take it with us when this life is done!

Worrying today about what MIGHT happen tomorrow will not change tomorrow. I believe God is SO much God that He's already prepared tomorrow and knows exactly what tomorrow holds. Do you think He's worried about tomorrow? NO! He's already got it handled and under control. Afterall, He's in control of what happened yesterday, what's going on today and what will happen tomorrow. Psalms 46:10-11 says, "Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. The LORD of hosts is withus; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."
