What A Mighy God We Serve

Our weekend was wonderful. Labron came through his Endoscopy on Friday, and we received great news...no cancerous tumors, cysts, or ulcers were found. The only thing they found was that when they tried to "poof" air in his upper intestines, even sedated, he felt a lot of pain. The doctor is now treating him for chronic upper intestinal pain. He explained it to me like this: "Normal" people can feel the same pain that Labron feels and it only hurt a little bit, but his nerve endings are sending a message to his brain that he is in extreme pain. We knew it was all in his head all along (ha, ha). It really is not a good problem to have, but they think that it can be controlled. I am praying that they get it under control quickly for his sake....and mine! He is miserable most of the time due to the pain. It dictates what he is able to do. It doesn't stop him from singing, preaching, or getting excited about the Lord, but it doesn keep him from feeling like doing some of the things with Caleb that he enjoys doing.

We did a "Devotion in Motion Family Night" at Tallapoosa East Baptist on Friday night....with Labron still sedated! That was interesting. We sang and then Brenda and I shared from the book and Dan gave a message on family. It went well.

Saturday, we got to spend the day with Caleb at the ball field as a family. We enjoyed getting to see his team win. He is such an awesome son. He jammed his pointer finger on his left hand (he is left handed by they way) on Tuesday night and was ready to play by Saturday even though his finger was still swollen so bad. It didn't stop him. He played a pretty good game injured!

We then left for Mississippi for our Sunday bookings. We sang for Tuscumbia Baptist Church in Booneville, MS on Sunday morning and then their Pastor delivered the most awesome message about Moses..."What's that in thine hand?" You need to go read Exodus Chapter 4 and see what you get out of it. It was wonderful. The Lord really blessed him.

Sunday night we sang at Walker Baptist Church in Fairview, MS. The Lord really showed up in that place. There was movement, testifying (especially young people), and the Spirit was THICK! I love to see God work in a church that is willing to allow God to be GOD! We greatly appreciate Bro. David for allowing us to pass-thru. It was a great blessing.

Please be in prayer for Brenda. She will be traveling this week to do a private retreat and then a full weekend. It will be very tiring on her body. Please pray that she will be able to fit some time in for rest. We would love to see you all through out the weekend.

In Christ,
Brooke
