What a Glorious Weekend

New Desire had a rather interesting weekend! We pulled out EARLY Saturday morning to go to Anniston to set up for an outdoor singing at "Christian Corner Meats." It was so HOT but well worth it. The day was wonderful. The owners of the meat store, David and Debbie, felt led by the Lord to set up an outdoor singing with Gospel groups. We enjoyed being with our dear friends, Enlisted. Wilburn and Wilburn were there as well. It was some great singing and fellowship with wonderful food. The Spirit was truly there. You could see the tears flowing down the faces of those who were touched. You could see the sweat flowing down the faces of those who were hot...EVERYBODY! I thought the day was absolutely wonderful.

We did have some bus issues though. I felt like I was trapped in the past...when I had to wash my hair in the sinks of churches with COLD water. Our generator decided that it didn't want to stay on so we lost most of the power on our bus. I had a wet head with no way to dry it. I had to visit Enlisted's bus to dry my hair. Thank you guys for allowing me to use your POWER! I would have looked rough with a wet head. I didn't look too good with fixed hair, but a ponytail was as good as it was going to get Saturday.

We left from there and went to eat and fellowship with some great friends and had such a wonderful time. Dan was passing more kidney stones so he was unable to eat with us, but of course we didn't let him go hungry. We took care of him. :-)

We traveled on to Lystra Baptist Church in Ashland, AL to set up for their Homecoming on Sunday morning. All of us girls had to go in to the church that morning to wash our hair, bathe off and get ready. It felt like old times when we didn't have a shower on one of our other buses. Thank God they had hot water though. The funniest thing of all was Dan  walking across the parking lot with a towel wrapped around his head. None of us could move fast enough to get a picture of that, but it was hilarious. We had a great service at Lystra and we appreicate Josh and LaWana Barkley for inviting us to join them for Homecoming. It was great being with you guys.

Sunday night we sang at Talladega Springs Full Gospel Tabernacle in Sylacauga, AL. We always love going to this church. These people are unashamed to worship. We had a wonderful service with a salvation. GO GOD!!!!! The Spirit was so real in that place. I love it when He comes on the scene and the people welcome Him! Thank you Bro. Joe for allowing us to stop by to worship with your church. God is SO GOOD!

Please be in much prayer for Brenda and Jessica this week. They are in Kentucky doing interviews for the women's conference that we will be having there in August. Please pray for their safety and effectiveness. We have a lot of traveling to do over the next few months and we ask that you would join us in prayer for protection and anointing. We appreciate all of the prayers and support.

In Christ,
Brooke
