We Serve a Great GOD
by Brooke Cason
New Desire had a wonderful weekend....busy, but wonderful. We headed out on Thursday night for a women's conference in Pigeon Forge on Friday. The Lord was so in that place. Women responded to each speaker in a mighty way. The singing was good, but most of all the Spirit was good. We had to leave immediately and head back to Rome, GA for a conference on Saturday morning. Brenda spoke on "The Perfect Gift:Turning Your Battles Into Blessings" and it was GREAT! It really spoke LOUD to me. I love it when God speaks!
Saturday night we had a "Devotion in Motion Family Night" in Leeds, AL at Markeeta Baptist Church. Again....the Lord was there. All four of us spoke on making God the center of our families and how things will be much better if we get back to being Christ centered instead of WORLDLY centered.
Sunday morning we sang for a homecoming at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Moody, AL. The service was filled with the Spirit of the Lord as soon as the first word was spoken. It was amazing to watch how God touched us even though we were the ones ministering to the people. We couldn't hardly sing for crying. We stepped on stage with Dan passing a kidney stone, Brenda feeling nauseous, Labron with no sleep in days and hurting, and me....I was running a fever, felt like I has the flu, and couldn't hardly stand, but we persevered and God rewarded us.....2 people got saved!!!!!!!! That is worth being sick and not feeling well. I love it when God shows you that your work is not in vain. AMAZING GRACE HOW SWEET THE SOUND!!!!!!!
Well, it's off to vacation time for New Desire.
In Christ,
Brooke

Wow! Praying for all of your health, but I especially know Dan's pain with the kidney stones. I'm amazed at anyone who can function, much less sing and minister with that kind of pain. I know it was all worth it to see those saved! Enjoy your much needed vacation!
Sweet Brooke: Thank you for being so devoted to update us about the ministry. I know so many of us long to be at each place, but can't for whatever reason, but we lift you all in prayer and we can't wait to read what God does through your faith and perseverance to share the love of God and the Gospel of Jesus the Lover of our souls. We rejoice with each new soul born into the Kingdom. You have not been weary in well-doing and this is the season of reaping. Bless you all. In Chist Alone! ! !
