Today's Update from the Weekend

Again, New Desire had a great weekend in the Lord. The Spirit was good each time we stood this weekend. The women's conference at Bethlehem United Baptist in Gallant, AL went great. Brenda spoke on "Favored One" and the Lord really worked. He bound us together that day as a ministry once again by giving all three of us the same message. Brenda, Jessica and myself had been praying about some things to with the ministry and God gave us the message of GRACE Saturday. It was wonderful and just what we needed, but isn't that they way He works.
We got a little down time on Saturday night so us "young 'uns" went out on the town. We went bowling and out to eat and had a blast. We all got to bowl with the bumper rails up since "Caleb" needed them :-) Truth be known...WE ALL NEEDED THEM!!! We enjoyed our time together.
Sunday morning we sang at Mt. View Baptist Church in Alexandria, AL for their Homecoming. The song service was filled with the anointing from on HIGH and so was the preaching. The Pastor of the church delivered a wonderful message. We sang Sunday night at New Liberty Baptist in Jacksonville, AL and boy did the Lord show up and show out! God is so faithful to show us His love through His Holy Spirit. A guy who plays for the Rome Braves goes to this church and had requested that we do a circle of pray. The whole congregation gathered and held hands as we prayed for each request that was made around the sanctuary. It was amazing. The preacher had even taken one of that altars to the middle of the aisle in the church so that people would not have to move far for the altar call. I have never seen this done before, but God told him to do it and he obeyed and it worked. His obedience payed off.
I praise God for His love for my little family. He continues to show mercy on us every second of every day. Please continue to pray for New Desire as a whole that we will always be willing to do what God would have us to do and go where He would have us to go. He is so good to us.

Brook, I would just like to say Thank You to all of New Desire for spreading Gods words through music, missions, and preaching/teaching. I just traveled to California for a conference where we took 9 youth to a leadership initiative. While there I realized that I didn't see a single church or a church sign. I missed seeing that. Not knowing the area the only way I got any messages were from TV or during my study/praying time. If I wanted to go to a church I would have to ask if any were close. I am thankful that I live in an area where there are visible signs that christians are there and that groups like you go places to spread the word of God. Again Thank You!
