It's Conference Time!

We've had lots of exciting things going on at the office of New Desire over the past couple of weeks. First of all, Brenda turned 51 years old last Thursday! Most women would die if their age was posted on the web for the world to see, but not her. She is proud and thankful for each and every year of life the Lord has given her. I'm sure you all will be glad to know that she is feeling better than she has in months. We praise God every day that she is feeling so well, and that she is getting back to the old witty, spunky, vibrant Brenda that we all know and love. Please pray that she will continue to get stronger each day.

The 20th Annual Conference is fast approaching and you can feel the excitement in the air around here! We have had an office full of wonderfully hard working volunteers for several weeks now who have helped to bear some of the load of the conference so the staff can continue doing the day-to-day tasks that have to be completed in order for us to hit the road each weekend. We couldn't do it without the help of these volunteers.

I am spending about 80% of my time in the office filling ticket orders for the conference. This is incredibly exciting! The orders are rolling in like crazy. Everyone must be just as excited as we are to celebrate 20 years of women's ministry with New Desire. The material for this conference is unbelievable. As Labron said in his sermon on Sunday, "The only way I know to explain it to you is to tell you to come see it for yourself!" If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, call our office at 770-684-8987 or here on our website by clicking on the 20th Annual slide on the flashplayer on the home page. Also, keep an eye on the New Desire Facebook page. You never know when we might have a contest for a giveaway!

We did get the opportunity to minister this weekend. Labron went Thursday night with a group from County Line Baptist Church to downtown Atlanta to feed the homeless and share Jesus with them. This is something Labron has been wanting to do for some time now, and we are so glad he got the opportunity to do so. Hopefully in the near future all of New Desire will be able to go along and help minister in this way. It is something that each one of us feel so strongly about.

On Sunday, we sang at County Line Baptist Church in Alpharetta, GA. We had a wonderful service! After singing, "If You Knew Him," (which will be recorded on the new cd) Labron broke loose and preached for a while. The Spirit of the Lord was evident throughout the entire service and the church responded, unashamed and unafraid.

Pray for us this weekend as we travel to Plant City, Florida. Brenda will be doing a large women's conference there on Saturday, and we will sing and Dan will preach on Sunday. If you're in that area we would love to see you!
