It's been a while since I've been in the office due to traveling so I've been unable to blog. I have a lot of catching up to do. Two weekends ago, New Desire spent the weekend with some dear friends of ours at Mt. Lebanon FCM in Steele, AL. These people know how to take care of us. They worked for a year to raise the funding to be able to take care of us financially that weekend. They prepare Spiritually as well. They bathe the conference in prayer and in the Word of God. They take this seriously and put their all into it. It amazes me each year at how God works through this entire weekend. Brenda did a women's conference on Saturday morning and delivered a new speech that God had given to her just for this church 72 hours prior to having to teach it due to a loss that the church had just gone through. The speech was outstanding and full of the Holy Spirit. The Lord used Brenda during this speech to comfort not only the family but the entire church. They all had suffered a tremendous loss and God knew just how to help them through His Word and Brenda's speech. Of course, we were wondering how God was going to pull all of this together with what we had already prepared, but He did it amazingly. It worked hand in hand with what God had already had us to prepare for. I praise Him for knowing EVERYTHING! Why did I ever doubt anything??? That night we sang for Mt. Lebanon FCM and had a good turn-out for the singing.

The next morning Dan preached for their morning service and Brenda taught Sunday School while Jessica and I kept the nursery so that all the adults could attend Sunday School under Brenda. Both went well. Dan's message touched a lot of hearts in that service and there was a lot of movement to the altar. We give God the praise for it all. These people are ready to grow and do whatever God would have for them to do inspite of their hard times. Our prayer is that God will continue to move in that church and give the people there a desire to serve Him more and more.

We headed home to pack and wash and get ready to be gone for 10 days. We pulled out on Monday morning and headed to Knoxville, TN for a revival. Dan preached each night and we sang for The River at Knoxville's revival. It was good. We always enjoy spending time with Bro. James and Sylvia. They are special to us.

We left them and headed to Gatlinburg, TN for the Gatlinburg Gathering that Abraham Productions puts on each year. We had the most awesome time. Ray Flynn is the head guy of this convention and he focuses on spreading the Gospel through song and preaching. He holds a showcase each day before the concerts begin and gives upcoming artists a chance to sing to several hundred people. Then at night he has groups come in and do concerts then a preachers delivers a message. It was the most fabulous convention that we have ever attended. It didn't focus so much on popularity, but Mr. Flynn tries to make God the center of everything about that weekend. New Desire was chosen from Saturday's showcase to sing on mainstage to approximately 3, 000 people. We want to give God the glory for that. I just want to PRAISE HIM for being able to feel His Spirit in such an environment. The Lord is so good! We plan to attend this event again next year. You should too. It is AMAZING!!!

We are now home. Brenda had to have a treatment today and it's been so rough on her. It is on all of us, but mainly her. Just seeing her in so much pain is so hard. It takes us all to take care of her when she has these. We have made her rest the past few days to prepare her body for this treacherous day, but nothing can prepare her completely. It's awful. Please just keep her in your prayers. She has two more treatments before she completes this round. She needs your prayers.
