Arkansas Trip
by Brooke Cason
What an adventure!!!! New Desire pulled out on Thursday evening headed to Harrison, AR where we always run a revival for Labor Day weekend. We drove half the night and got up early Friday morning and completed our journey there. We had an extra person on the bus this weekend. A friend of ours by the name of Danny Ray that traveled and played for us this weekend. He is a very talented young man of God who plays the piano and can sing like a bird. The Lord has really blessed him. He did a great job with us this weekend and we hope that he can come go with us again sometime.
We always love our yearly trip to Arkansas. We look forward to it. These people are just like family to us. Pastor David lost his mother while we were there following a long sickness. They also had another loss in the church while we were there. The church was in mourning, but they didn't allow this to stop their "REVIVAL." Many lives were touched and Dan did some of the best preaching I've ever heard him do. He preached on GRACE!!! What a message...that carried over into the whole revival. People really grasped what GRACE truly means. We hated to see the weekend come to an end, but it had to. We headed back home late Sunday night and we didn't get far. Me driving, late at night, over curvy mountainous roads....we didn't get far. I took it REAL slow. We slept for a little while and got up and started again. We finally got home safely around 6:30 PM.
Caleb had to start school on Tuesday....today! He started the third grade and had a wonderful day. Please help us pray that his teachers and administrators will understand when he has to miss school due to ministry work.
Please be in much prayer. We leave on Thursday of this week and we'll be gone for 11 days...without Caleb. My heart is always sad when we have to leave him, but he understands that we have to be about the Father's business. We will be in Kentucky doing a women's conference then NQC for a week. We ask you to pray that God will use us in a mighty way in both venues.
In Christ,
Brooke
