Alabama Weekend Update

Well folks, I'd like to apologize for not posting a blog last week. I got on several times (while at the beach) to try to post an update, and the computer never wanted to act right. I lost my LONG blog several times and decided that I'd just update you this week on both weekends. Our women's conference in South Carolina last weekend was wonderful. Those people knew what they wanted and prayed it down. They had a great turn-out for their first conference. The Lord showed up and showed out. His Spirit was so real in that place. Lives were touched and we got to hear some of the testimonies of how God used the conference to change hearts and lives. God is so good. Thank you East Side Baptist Church for moving in faith on this conference. It was well worth everything that you had to put in to it to make it what God wanted it to be. We can't wait for the next one!

Last Sunday, we sang at Trinity Baptist Church in Piedmont, AL for their Homecoming. The Lord always blesses this place. Labron got stirred up and preached all over that church. It was wonderful to watch God touch him like He did! God has really done a work through him and this sickness that he has been battling. God has used it in so many ways to show both us great things.

Labron, Caleb and I left out Monday morning for the beach and spent the whole week in Gulf Shores, AL. We had a wonderful week together. It was much needed and very relaxing! The water, beach, pool, place, EVERYTHING was more than we would have ever expected in a vacation.

Reality set in though when we had to head back home for the weekend. We were geared up and ready to minister though after spending time in the Word, reading "Fireproof Your Life" and praying a lot. We drove to meet the bus in Jasper, AL for a women's conference. These ladies came ready to hear from God. He spoke...they listened...they reacted. The Lord blessed Brenda's teaching once again as He always does. It's amazing what He'll do for you and with you if you are obediant.

We left Jasper and headed to Cullman, AL for another Homecoming at Ole Time Way. I was up all night with Caleb. He was running a fever, sore throat, not feeling well at all. We medicated him and left him on the bus while we sang, running out to check on him every few minutes. He did great. The service was really good. The preacher didn't even get to preach which was perfectly fine with him. He loves it when the Lord comes on the scene and takes over.

It amazes me how God blesses us with His presence. We are so undeserving, but He loves us enough to touch us, speak to us, allow us to feel Him, etc. He is so awesome.

Caleb is feeling better today. Thank you all for praying at Ole Time Way!

Please remember Labron tomorrow as he faces another surgery. They are doing exploratory surgery on Tuesday morning (tomorrow) at 6:00 AM to see if they can find the source of his pain. Please pray that they find what's causing the pain and can fix it. I will keep you posted as we hear from the doctor.

In Christ,
Brooke
